Russia started a war against Ukraine

On 24th February 2022 at 5 am Russia started a war against Ukraine, and with that – a war against the entire civilized world and the common humanity values.

Over 600 missiles have been fired towards the territory of Ukraine. Russian troops are attempting to encircle cities of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Chernihiv and Mariupol. Ukrainian cities are suffering under enemy fire. The Russian army is aiming at civil houses and infrastructure. In just 11 days, 38 Ukrainian children and more than 2000 adults were killed by the troops and heavy weapons of russian army.

Over 1 million Ukrainians, most of them women and children, had to flee abroad.

And yet, Ukrainians still put up a fierce resistance. Thousands of men and women took arms as the Territorial Defense Forces to protect their country. Even now, in Kyiv, members of Territorial Defense serve on the multitude of checkpoints on the streets of the capital or stand guard near the critical infrastructure objects, hospitals and administration buildings.

The international non-government organization “People’s Advocates” was created so any person, in Ukraine or abroad, can help 12th Territorial Defense brigade of Kyiv with equipment and humanitarian supplies to stand against the enemy in their defense mission.
