On behalf of the Air Force of Ukraine, Narodnyi Advokat NGO signed a memorandum of understanding with the manufacturer Antonov Plus to develop two experimental Skyshark aircraft – night-time hunter interceptors for Shahed drones – for operational testing by Ukrainian aviation.

The threat from kamikaze drones remains extreme. The enemy has developed tactics that make many current countermeasures ineffective. Today, 80% of Ukraine’s territory is under constant threat. Training jets or helicopters cost thousands of euros per flight hour:

Fighter jet – €8,000–10,000 / hour

Helicopter – €2,000–3,000 / hour
In contrast, a lightweight carbon-fiber aircraft with a machine gun and modern targeting systems performs the same functions for just €100–200 / hour. The economic advantage is clear!
! How Skyshark Works

Lightweight, maneuverable plane equipped to destroy up to 20 Shahed drones per sortie

Capable of detecting and engaging targets day or night, in all weather conditions

With sufficient funding, the first two experimental aircraft could be airborne within 2–3 months

Scaling to 90–100 aircraft will allow interception of Shahed drones before they reach towns, power plants, or oil depots
